Manufacturing Day℠ is a celebration of modern manufacturing meant to inspire the next generation of manufacturers and explain how manufacturers, educators and civic leaders are working together to nurture the manufacturing industry of tomorrow. Educators and students will explore how advanced manufacturing can lead to promising career pathways. This years’ host companies will provide plant tours and informational sessions.

This year Manufacturing Day will be hosted at Lucifer Lighting.

Lucifer Lighting is multi-generational, family-owned company that grew out of a love for art, design, and engineering, and has deep roots in San Antonio, Texas.

The first fixtures they created were to illuminate the high-end designer apparel they carried in our Frost Brothers department stores - they designed lights that brought out the best in their products. Seeing an unmet need, Gilbert Mathews, their CEO and founder, became focused on creating the exceptional lighting fixtures that define their mission.

Their goal is to increase people's ability to see, enjoy, appreciate, and experience every nuance of special objects, fine art, haute cuisine, and unique spaces. It's all about creating lights that create experiences.
